Bobi (Pronounced Bub•bee) Pearl
Tonight begins the 39th Day of the Omer (May 21-22, 2006), which is five weeks and five days of the omer. May that part of me that is broken in Netzach in Yesod be healed on this day.

Clarity Nurtured by Endurance
My grandmother was 87 in this photograph. She lived to be 98. Bobi Pearl had a very clear vision of what she wanted. And she had great endurance.
Her clarity and endurance didn't always ingratiate her to others. And it didn't always help in her assessments of people. But her comfort with herself motored a life fully lived and many wonderful accomplishments.
On this day of Netzach in Yesod may we see the path ahead and practice knowing that it may take a long time in getting there. And that's okay!

She must have been a remarkable woman.
Peter and all, yes, she had lots of adventures in her life including going back to Russia (where she had moved from at age 13) in 1916 at the age of 21 with her first husband to become a part of the revolution. Her husband was assassinated leaving her alone with a 1-year-old daughter. She made her way back to the United States. Two husbands later she moved to Israel in 1970 (after dropping communism she became a Zionist). Much to tell about this grandma! Thanks for the interest.
